list of hazards --- St Clair

stood on a metal spike coming in today, looks like it went clean in and out, so hopefully no infections, so anyone surfing st clair, add that to your list of hazards, there are a whole lot of bits of metal sticking out of the sand, straight in front of the south stair set, attached to a massive bit of concrete so I couldn't pull it out

( shit mate.. hope your tetanus is up to date! .. funny eh, well not funny, but the other day.. the stroll along the 'beach' ... now the photos seem quite appropriate)

and also noted at the time.. the wear of the panels of the new sea wall.. wave action throwing the rocks around and acting as sandpaper .. so thats two months worth of wear..

just slipped another link in here to a post back in may about the rods sticking up dangerously at the bottom of those stairs.. same ones?? LINK

if only we were in america, i could sue the bastards, haha... those ones sticking out down near the south stair are pretty dangerous tho, as most people are dodging the rocks and using that stair to get out as well, so yeah just be careful

are they the same rods as the ones that were there in may? take a look at the red link I just put in extra for the above post.. coz I rang the DCC about those ones at the time, and if they havent done anything, thats real poor.. ring them yourself anyway.

nah, i think they are different, these ones were about 3-4 spikes sticking up out of the sand maybe 15-20cm high, and all clustered together

I doubt the dcc would have done anything about the original problem tho...

I saw someone pulled it out of the ground, wasn't as big a bit of concrete as I thought ;)

mate good on you,for getting this out there,iv noticed it since the wall was just completed, dcc must have run out of money to start up the clean up let alone finish cleaning up the mess they made on our beach bloody so and so's its just a down right hazard to the uses, and yes i got pinged at the stop sign bloody great start to a merry x mass, but im sure the police xmas fund is looking healthy,,once again its the locals who pay.........ouch
