Oh and a seal/sealion playing in the waves too

I was holed up in my studio all day not realising that there was a sizeable swell with a strong offshore weaving its magic today. Although the wind was very strong, and the faces were pretty choppy at times I managed to get a few okay shots after 3 when I picked caity up from school. Pity about the grey dull light, but let me just call it 'atmosphere'.

found some .. down south

Nice warmish sunny day, took a trip down south a bit to a fav spot with my girls and the camera.
Climbed over the rocks a bit, and took some shots while the girls made little flax mats.. soo relaxing, and great there was some explosive surfing going on too, pity about the surf, blew out and chopped up alot as the hour went on.
Pics up in the order they were taken, another half a dozen tomorrow along with a couple of sequences like the ladder 1 ones tomorrow too.

Also my www.phoam.co.nz website is down.. forgot to pay the domain fees, paid now.. so waiting for it to be hooked up again.

Sewer Pipe Progress

Some pics taken from up Cargills castle way of the progress of the new sewer pipe.
You can see where John Wilson Drive has been blocked off to traffic, also the large pipes lined alongside the road.

Also a couple of pics looking from Cargills Castle towards the other side of Blackhead.

Dolphins at the View

Got a text from a friend yesterday morn, Dolphins were playing and feeding out back from the surf at Ocean View.. thy had moved down past brighton by the time I got there, I could still see the frolicking past the rocks. But it was nice to get out of the house and get some fresh air. Took a pic along the beach at OV towards blackhead, and then a few as I drove past Blackhead on the way home.
