December 2007 - the month that was

new years eve surf

Me and jay met up with hayley and harumi at St Kilda for our last surf of 2007. I only lasted 15 mins.. the light was too good and I was too tired from working hard the last few weeks, and the 2hr surf in the am.

and then the light faded as the sun sunk behind a southern cloud bank on the horizon






Its been a damn good year ..
I am looking forward to every possibility that unfolds for 2008.

b4 the front hit again

After work, Caity decided she wanted a surf.. blackhead again looked good.. so Just an hour out before tea, the sou-west front was about to hit, so it was dull and overcast.. always makes it a challenge for clear shots with a lack of light. but these seemed to be the pick of the bunch.. there were heaps of real good shots but exposure was poor.. so they ended up on the cutting room floor... but I might try and do some creative photoshopping with them in the next few days and put them up.

Moving Rocks

Damn near lost my skin 20 mins after I had settled into my shooting on the rocks when one of the boulders a dozen feet away turned around and looked straight at me.

Christmas day 2007 family surf

After the morning surf I felt like some quiet time and slipped out to Blackhead while Caity went to her nanas for xmas lunch, and Jay watched a DVD.
Took stacks of pics (will upload tomorrow) and ate trifle for lunch on the rocks.
Left for home and passed Jay on the road on his scooter, followed him back to blackhead where he was sussing out his 2nd surf of the day..


Blackhead was looking pretty nice, so we did the round trip again to get his gear and I took more pics as he surfed as a southerly front was literally storming up the coast...
