New phoam surf art at Classic Cafe



Just hung the new lot of artworks at the Classic Cafe bright and early this morning.
have to rush off now, so just quickly putting up a pic of nearly all of the works,, some are the same piece but different angles, some are not in focus sorry, been a rush week!!

Bit of a different style from your usual stuff? What brought on the change? Really like this style too by the way.. :D well done

Nice. I like the composition with the stylised foreground lines to the lines of the waves. That kind of thinking seperates these from most wave-only surf art, there's more going on here. Cool direction.
Also, the sorta "exploded view" of the sand and rocks- you are thinking about sand these days, huh? Reminds me of geological diagrams. The painted sides are kind of the same idea, what's behind and beneath, not like the window of a frame. Great paintings, Phoam. You sure keep busy, don't you?

yep I sure do keep busy! and you're spot on with the geological elements.. always fascinated me geomorphology.. if I didn't get into spitting out babies when i left school and then vet nursing.. I was going to become a geologist. And yes sand definately thinking and investigating about sand with the resource consent issues with our local sand reserves.
