descent to darkness

Very high tide this arvo at around 4.30pm, powerful sets pumping throguh and hitting the sea wall with a massive thunk shaking the ground, spray reaching up to third storey height!.. this was ALL the way along the new sea wall, not only just the south end. 5 out ... and as the light faded and went through the ends of the 'setting sun' colour gamut I selected a few shots with a wee tweak from the digital darkroom to reflect this descent to darkness.. .

the beauty of surfers is the deep passion for the act, like a yearning for a lover willing to make any compromise for that moment of purfection .. :0)
