Ripping Groms - St Clair

Stopped by St Clair over lunchtime to find nobody out in the water. Then just as a big set came through a station wagon pulled up filled with three kids and surfboards plus of course adult driving. They flew out of the car and started frothing over the massive set, and bounced so fast into their wetties and raced down to fill their stoke.
Surfers are Ben Bennet Jae Kilgour and Geordi Dearns.

Great to see some young Dunnos surfers getting some exposure. They will be stoked to see themselves in print (or on the net as the case maybe). As we are heading into winter, spare a thought for these grommies who will be out there every oppotunity in their winter wetties, hoodies and booties. Awesome pics.

Great to see these Dunno's groms starting to kick their straps! Look out for them in the future editions of the surf mags.
Just goes to show that you dont have to live in the North Island to get fun waves and big ups to Kings High school for letting them use their Phys Ed classes to hone their skills.
Cheers Nic@PHOAM.co.nz for taking the shots.
